CALENDAR DESIGN
Year 2020 Calendar
[Project Brief]
Since learning typography in graduate school, I have become more interested in language and letters. The curves and straight lines of all kinds of letters are beautiful to me, and I think they are all pieces of art. This fact turned me back to my mother language. The Korean alphabet, known as Hangul in South Korea, has been used to write the Korean language since its creation in the 15th century by King Sejong the Great. I wanted to show people this beautiful Hangul, which has a history of 577 years, with attractive geometric forms. Therefore, the typeface Yoon Gothic, which Koreans love, is introduced through familiar objects on a calendar.
[Solution]
Communicate unfamiliar content more easily by using clear design and familiar material within the calendar.
